He’s a little shy when you first get to meet him, but super sociable when you’re his musher. He’s pretty stoic and I would say he’s a very determined and 100% confident dog.

His litter theme was the gun litter. So his brothers are Henry and Colt and his original name was Ruger. Mitchie Kono was one of the first mushers to run him in lead and once during training he came back from a run and he said, “I change his name. His name is Senior, he’s too good.” So he changed his name to name him Senior after Joe Redington Senior, and I think it’s really fitting. I’ve ran him for three years now and every single race he’s run every race mile for me in lead. He’s never been out of lead, including sometimes in single lead.

What is the bloodline?

He’s out of a dog named Mississippi and a dog named Wanda, who’s Raptor’s sister, and a lot of people know about Raptor.
