What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?:
I got involved with Iditarod about a couple of years ago. I have four Siberian Huskies and I’ve been involved with dryland mushing or dryland carting in and around San Diego for a couple of years. So I always wanted to come out and be part of the Iditarod, work with the mushers and the dogs who actually run it. And so that’s how I got volunteering at Iditarod.
What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?
I’m here today and involved with Iditarod because someday I want to do the Iditarod myself.
Tell me about your most memorable Iditarod experiences?:
One of the most memorable Iditarod experiences was last year when I was trail crew at Ruby, seeing all the mushers interact with the dogs, taking the care of the dogs first and before they did anything for themselves.
What do you know for sure?:
What I know for life in sure is that I love my dogs and my kids. The rest is all unsure.
