What is your Why?.. Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?:
MY FRIEND FRED RAN THE RACE IN ’84 AND ‘85 AND FINISHED. AND I GOT INVOLVED THROUGH HIM AND HAVE MADE MANY FRIENDS WITH THE MUSHERS AND THEIR FAMILIES AND THE DOGS. AND I’M HERE TO SUPPORT THE RACE.
Tell me about your most rewarding experience on Iditarod?:
MY MOST REWARDING EXPERIENCE WAS THE YEAR THAT WE WERE IN NOME AND I GOT TO BE THERE TO WATCH PEOPLE COME IN AND BE THERE AT THE FINISH LINE TO GREET THE DOGS AND TO WATCH THAT PART. BECAUSE I’D ALREADY SEEN WHAT HAPPENED IN ANCHORAGE; BUT TO SEE THE FINISH AND WHAT THE DOGS ARE LIKE AT THE END WAS A REAL EXPERIENCE.
What do you know for sure?:
I KNOW FOR SURE THAT THE THINGS THAT MATTER ARE IN THE HEART; THAT THE MATERIAL THINGS DON’T MATTER AS MUCH AS BEING SURROUNDED BY FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND GOOD HEALTH.
