What is your Why?.. Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?:
SO I LIVE HERE AND BASED OUT OF HERE, BUT IT’S JUST A FUN THING SEEING ALL THE MUSHERS COME THROUGH AND HEAR THE STORIES AND ADVENTURES AND OCCASIONALLY I GET TO GO RESCUE A DOG OR MUSHER ON THE TRAIL. AND FOR ME, THAT ADVENTURE IS JUST A LOT OF FUN.
Tell me about your most rewarding experience on Iditarod?:
MY MOST REWARDING AND MEMORABLE IS DEFINITELY BRINGING JEFF SCHULTZ OVER THE PASS TO TAKE SOME PICTURES AND HUNKERING DOWN IN DALZEL GORGE. ONE YEAR, I THINK WE RESCUED DEE DEE JONROWE’S SLED THAT GOT AWAY FROM HER; SAVED A COUPLE DOGS THAT WERE LOOSE OUT THERE. PAT MOON GOT KNOCKED OUT GOING DOWN THE DALZELL GORGE AND WE WERE ABLE TO KIND OF RESCUE HIM AND HELP SOME MUSHERS RESCUE HIM AND GET HIM KIND OF COMFORTABLE FOR A PLANE TO COME AND PICK HIM UP. SO, A LOT OF DIFFERENT ADVENTURES.
What do you know for sure?:
I’M LEARNING MORE AND MORE AS I GO, BUT I THINK THE ONE THING I DO KNOW FOR SURE IN LIFE IS THAT JESUS LOVES ME AND HE’S ALWAYS OUT THERE IF I NEED HIM.
