What is your Why?.. Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?:
I WANTED TO GET THIS YEAR’S HAT.
Tell me about your most rewarding experience on Iditarod?:
BILL KRAMER WAS CHIEF PILOT. HE ANNOUNCED THAT A DOG HAD GOTTEN LOOSE AT YENTNA STATION: IF ANYBODY SAW IT, PLEASE PICK IT UP. AND I SAW A BLACK DOG RUNNING DOWN THE YENTNA. I LANDED AND IT CAME AROUND THE CORNER, AND I GRABBED IT. AND I WAS PUSHING IT INTO THE PLANE WHEN A SNOWMOBILER CAME BY. HE SAID, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY DOG?” AND I SAID, “YOUR DOG?” AND HE HAD HIS HAND ON HIS GUN. HE DIDN’T PULL IT OUT, BUT HE DID HAVE HIS HAND ON IT. I SAID, “WE’RE LOOKING FOR A LOST DOG. THIS OBVIOUSLY ISN’T IT”.
What do you know for sure?:
THAT MY WIFE IS SMARTER THAN I AM.
