What is your Why?.. Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?:

MY “WHY” IS, A LOT OF FOLKS SAY THIS RACE IS ALL ABOUT THE DOGS, AND IN SOME WAYS IT IS. BUT MY “WHY” IS ABOUT THE PEOPLE. IT’S AS MUCH ABOUT THE OTHER VOLUNTEERS AND THE LOCALS IN THE COMMUNITY THAT HELP TO BECOME PART OF THIS RACE AS MUCH AS IT IS ABOUT THE MUSHERS, TOO, OF COURSE.

Tell me about your most rewarding experience on Iditarod?:

I DON’T KNOW. I DON’T KNOW MY MOST REWARDING EXPERIENCE. IT’S JUST TOO MANY. EVERY DAY HELPING AND VOLUNTEERING OUT HERE THERE’S MORE, NEW, REWARDING AND CHALLENGING EXPERIENCES. SO, ONE AT A TIME.

What do you know for sure?:

WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE IS THAT YOU COULDN’T PAY ME ENOUGH TO DO THIS JOB. BUT I COME BACK EACH YEAR AND DO IT FOR FREE.
