What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?:

My first year was coming up in 2010 with the ECG bloodwork program volunteering. I was living in Washington at the time and came up to work with Jan Bullock and work with the sled dogs as a volunteer.

What is your Why?.. Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?:

I am the assistant head tech, so I’m Tabitha’s assistant. So I’m here to be her right hand and go over with the rookies – cause we’re at the rookie meeting – what ECG program is; what they can expect, what they need to do for our program and keep their dogs happy and healthy.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences?:

I went to McGrath, for the first time last year and I got to snack the dogs, which is my most favorite thing to do. And I would go out – because they get so excited – and I would sing to them and I would make them all howl at midnight, which made everybody crazy. But I thought it was fun to get them all excited and jazzed up for their snacks. And that was my absolute most favorite thing to do. And to this day I still sing to dogs because they like it and I like it.

What do you know for sure?:

Sun’s going to come up tomorrow. That’s all I know for right now.
