What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved in Iditarod through Jennifer Ambrose. We moved up here in 2007. In 2009, we were on a bowling league with Jennifer and she happened to hear us talking about Iditarod and invited us to come and participate. And I’ve been doing this every year since. The dogs are the number one.

What is your Why?..Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?

I’m here today and involved with the Iditarod because of the dogs and getting the mushers on the trail so they can continue their journey to Nome. And we love Alaska, and just anything to be involved in Iditarod brings us back every year.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences?

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was when I was able to meet Lance Mackey in 2009 and got his autograph, and I wished him well, and it’s just been a thrill.

What do you know for sure?:

What I know for sure in life is, every day is a surprise and every day everybody should be thankful for it, for just being able to get up and move around and enjoy life.
