What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved with the Iditarod after reading Libby Riddles’ book, Race Across Alaska.

What is your Why?..Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?

I am here today and involved with the Iditarod because after running it for 11 years, I felt I still wanted to contribute some way, so being a judge for the last five years has allowed me to do that.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences?

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was … I’m going to kind of turn that around a little bit because I don’t have any one specific moment; but what I have, when I think about Iditarod, is a whole bunch of really wonderful nights in wonderful places with the most amazing friends, my dogs; and that is just a montage of nights and days in the wilderness with just us.

What do you know for sure?:

What I know for sure in life is that the next steps are going to be as adventurous as the last ones.
