What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first became involved with the Iditarod in 2006 when my husband and I retired and moved to Washington State. We got our first husky and began to skijor and bikejor, and eventually joined the Northwest Sled Dog Association. And that is where we learned about the Iditarod.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I am here today and involved with Iditarod because once I found out about the Iditarod, I just knew I had to get involved.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was relating to the fact that I have had an eight-dog team myself. And it is just so exciting to see how my dogs reacted. And I can just imagine how it is to race a thousand-mile race.

What do you know for sure?:

What I know for sure in life is that life is what you make of it. Don’t sit and do nothing.
