What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first got involved with the Iditarod, I don’t exactly remember exactly how, but I’ve always loved dogs. I’ve read all the stories about the Iditarod, and even before that, mushing dogs. I love dogs. And just, here I am.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here at the Iditarod today because of my love of dogs, and this is a bucket list item for me. And it is a dream come true. It’s just epic.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

My most memorable Iditarod experience today was getting on the plane, it was an Otter, to fly here, land on this frozen lake bed and watch these beautiful dogs come through.

What do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is one of the most important things is family. And the next for me is dogs, and how honest creatures that they are. They never lie to you. They show you what they are and, to me, it’s wonderful.
