What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved with the Iditarod in year 2013, 2014, and then took a hiatus. And I am back again this year, 2022.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I am here today and involved with the Iditarod because I was requested to volunteer, to help with logistics and to cook. I’m working in the kitchen now.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was meeting one of the mushers when they came into Unalakleet. He was my granddaughter’s choice as a musher. And I got to go down and have my picture taken with him.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is that life is short. Get out and play while you’re young. And that’s why we retired this year and we’re going for it.
