What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first became involved with Iditarod in 2013 when a colleague of mine from ExxonMobil, Jeff Ray, suggested that I volunteer to be a dog handler because he knows I love dogs. So I did that. I volunteered as a dog handler and really enjoyed it.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here today because I’ve been trying to get back for the last 10 years to volunteer as a dog handler again. Finally got back today. Looking forward to the start.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences:

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was the first time running down Fourth Avenue with all the dogs and the crowds and the cheering and the dogs yelping and so forth. It was just quite an experience.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is that I love my wife.
