What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first became involved in the Iditarod at 9:00 this morning on March 3rd at the Lakefront Hotel.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I am here today involved with the Iditarod because I don’t know why. I was sitting on the couch one day reading my Alaska magazine and I saw some pictures of some dogs, and I thought to myself, why not? So I went online and signed up for a volunteer.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences:

Out of the most memorable Iditarod experience was, well, the first time I saw the Iditarod was in ’94 in Wasilla. I lived in Wasilla at the time and went down and saw the dogs start off there.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is live it like it’s the fullest. Enjoy every day and count your blessings. That life is as good as it is.
