What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first became involved with Iditarod because I’m William H. Seward’s great-grand niece, and I came up to Nome with my mother and my daughter, three generations of Seward girls, and we flew to Nome to watch the end of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here today and involved with the Iditarod because I am thrilled to collect media and make a mini-documentary where others in the lower 48 can see how spectacular working dogs are when they’re in the most magnificent landscape of the all of Alaska.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences:

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was when I got to train my own team and qualified to run the Iditarod Sled Dog Race myself.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is that love is our purpose. Our purpose is to love.
