What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?
I got involved in the Iditarod in 2005. I helped out at the official start in Willow, and then, I had just moved up here. And then again, I worked out on the Iditarod trail in 2008 at the Rohn Checkpoint, and then also the Kaltag Checkpoint.
What is your Why?..Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?
I am here today and involved with the Iditarod because, well, I’ve got my little two year old daughter with me. We just wanted to bring her out and see it. And her aunt and grandmother are here, and brought them to see the start of the Iditarod and everything. Yeah, that’s why we’re here today.
Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences?
One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was, hands down, working the Rohn Checkpoint. It was absolutely stunning out there with some good friends that I know. Yeah, it was absolutely fantastic. It was cold, but fun nonetheless.
What do you know for sure?:
What I know for sure in life is, I’m very blessed and it’s just enjoy every minute of it, every last second. Yeah, that’s all I got.
