What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?
I got involved with the Iditarod after listening to the CEO of the Iditarod speak to our rotary club. And as I listened to him, I was inspired and decided that this is my second year in Alaska, and decided to get involved with the Iditarod in a volunteer role.
What is your Why?.. Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?
I’m here today and involved with the Iditarod because I just went on the website and saw the schedule of activities and just decided that I wanted to be involved, and so just picked up and saw that today was the food drive to pack up for food.
Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences?:
One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was, the first day when we packed up the hay for the dogs, was unloading three 18-wheel trailers and pulling out all of the hay out of those. That kind of reminded me of when I was a boy back in Texas on the hay fields.
