What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved with the Iditarod because I love Alaska and I wanted to become a part of the community. And would love to live up here, but can’t so I figured that’s the next best thing. And then I’m more helpful and not just a tourist when I’m up here.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

Today, I am involved with the Iditarod because I love Alaska. I love the dogs. I love the mushers, and it’s my way of helping outs and being involved, sharing, contributing, getting to know the community and being outside in nature.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences. was working at the Rainy Point checkpoint and wrangling horses under the Northern lights with dog sleds coming through. It was quite the experience, one that I will never forget.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is that you only live once, and you should live it to the fullest.
