What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first became involved with Iditarod this year when I applied to work with the comms team and I got assigned out here at McGrath.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here today and involved with Iditarod because a long time ago, my third grade teacher did an Iditarod curriculum for the class. And I have been fascinated with the race ever since and couldn’t wait for my chance to come out and be a part of it.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was getting to meet Apayauq Reitan’s dogs at the start. She was super generous and let me pet them and I can’t wait to see them when they get here to McGrath.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is that dogs make it a lot better.
