What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved my first year was when I was in McGrath going to school, but back then you let mushers stay in your homes, or mushers at Dick Mackey and those guys, they were at the house.

What is your Why?..Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?

I’m involved with the race because I live right on the trail. Every year I look forward to it, except the last few that had been canceled because of the weather or the trail condition. Otherwise, no matter what, everybody gets involved in it.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences?

My most memorable, probably I’d have to say when mushers got to stay with you. You don’t even know the mushers, you know?
