What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?
I first became involved with the Iditarod when I was probably around five years old, growing up in Canada, and I watched the movie Balto for the first time. And ever since then, I’ve been completely obsessed and in love with the idea of the Iditarod, and wanting to watch it in person.
What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?
I am here today and involved with Iditarod because I really wanted to watch the start. I lived in Nome a few years ago and was able to watch the finish and watch all the mushers come in. So, I really wanted to watch how it all began, and watch all the mushers take off.
Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.
One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was watching the winner of the Iditarod in 2019 at the finish line in Nome, Alaska. There was so much incredible energy, and it was so fun to watch him pull in and just know that he’d gone through this tremendous experience, and he was finally finished.
What do you know for sure?
What I know for sure in life is that the Iditarod is always going to be an incredible experience, and that every single person needs to experience it for themselves.
