What is your Why?.. Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?:

MY DAD WAS A TRAILBREAKER FOR ABOUT 15 YEARS. MY BROTHER WAS A TRAILBREAKER FOR THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME. HE TOOK THE YEAR OFF THIS YEAR. AND IT’S JUST BEEN IN OUR FAMILY AND IT’S JUST PART OF OUR LIFE.

Tell me about your most rewarding experience on Iditarod?:

IT’S BEEN A PART OF US FOR SO LONG. BUT GROWING UP, I WAS PROBABLY 12 OR 13 YEARS OLD, IDITAROD PAID MY WAY FROM UNALAKLEET TO ANCHORAGE. AND THEY WERE JUST TAKING KIDS FROM DIFFERENT VILLAGES THAT WERE INVOLVED WITH IDITAROD AND BRINGING THEM TO TOWN AND SHOWING THEM THE START OF THE IDITAROD. I MEAN, THAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE THING FOR ME BECAUSE I WAS JUST – THIS WAS BEFORE I HAD REALLY TRAVELED, SO I WAS JUST SHOCKED SEEING THE BIG CITY AND ALL THESE DOGS AND ALL THESE VOLUNTEERS AND HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY INVOLVED IN THE BEGINNING OF THE RACE WAS AWESOME.

What do you know for sure?:

MY FAMILY.
