What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?:

I first became involved with the Iditarod about three years ago. My wife and I came to Alaska to search for a trainer mentor, and we’ve hooked up with Ryan Redington. And from there, he’s taught me the whole sport from scratch. And here I am now in the 2025 Iditarod.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

Involved with the Iditarod because I love the mystique of Alaska, the challenge of the terrain that Alaska provides, and the test to see how well I can interface with 16 crazy, wonderful dogs.

Tell me about your most memorable Iditarod experiences?:

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was, well, I haven’t had it yet because I am a rookie right now.

What do you know for sure?:

What I know for sure in life is that until you fix your weaknesses, they will continue to be weaknesses. And so if you correct them early on, they become fixable and you can lead a successful life with that approach.
