What is your Why?.. Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?:

OH, I’VE ALWAYS BEEN A HUGE FAN OF THE RACE. BECAUSE I’M FROM ALASKA AND THIS IS OUR WINTER CELEBRATION. IT WAS ALWAYS A BIG PARTY WHEN ALL OF OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WOULD GO AND WATCH THE DOGS START. IT WAS A VERY EXCITING TIME FOR US IN ALASKA. AND IT’S ALWAYS BEEN A BIG DEAL IN MY LIFE AND I’VE ALWAYS REALLY ENJOYED LOOKING AND FOLLOWING THE MUSHERS AND GOING OUT AND SEEING THE DOGS. AND IT’S ALWAYS BEEN A REAL FOCUS FOR US. WE TAKE TIME TO SPEND TIME ON THE IDITAROD AND FOLLOW EVERYBODY.

Tell me about your most rewarding experience on Iditarod?:

MY MOST REWARDING AND MEMORABLE IDITAROD EXPERIENCE IS WHEN MY HUSBAND AND I IN OUR PLANE, AND OUR FRIENDS FLEW UP FROM BOISE IN THEIR PLANE – ONE FRIEND AND HIS DAUGHTER WHO WAS 12 AT THE TIME — AND WE FOLLOWED THE WHOLE RACE ALL THE WAY TO NOME. AND WE CAMPED ON THE YUKON RIVER IN AN ARCTIC OVEN TENT WITH BOTH PLANES. AND ABOUT 11:30 AT NIGHT, DALLAS SEAVEY CAME BY AND STOPPED AND TALKED TO US AND WONDERED WHAT THE HECK WE WERE DOING OUT THERE ON THE RIVER AT 45 BELOW. WE FOLLOWED IT ALL THE WAY UP TO NOME, ON THE WAY, LANDING IN THE SLOUGH NEXT TO TRIPOD CABIN IN BOTH PLANES. AND JUST ABOUT THAT SAME TIME BOTH JASON AND LANCE MACKEY BOTH SHOWED UP AT TRIPOD CABIN. AND WE WERE THERE WITH BOTH THEIR TEAMS AND GOT TO TALK WITH THEM, HAVE LUNCH WITH THEM. AND THEN WE CUT DOWN A BUNCH OF FIREWOOD BECAUSE THE CABIN NEEDED FIREWOOD. AND WE TRIED NOT TO BOTHER THE MACKEY BROTHERS TOO MUCH, BUT WE WERE A LITTLE STAR-STRUCK. WE HAD A GREAT TIME.

What do you know for sure?:

THAT I HAVE A LOT TO LEARN.
