What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first became involved with Iditarod, a friend of mine asked if I wanted to go downtown and go to the race start to be security, and that was my first experience with Iditarod.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I am here today and involved with Iditarod because I think the dogs love to run the race, and because the Iditarod is like one big family, and it’s great to see everybody every year.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was standing in Skwentna watching the dogs come up the river. Another was standing in Unalakleet under the Northern Lights watching DeeDee come over the hill and to the checkpoint. It was great to see all the dogs running.

What do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is everything changes.
