What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved with Iditarod because of a vet friend of mine who has done it now eight years and she and I have explored the world together and she suggested that I try it.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here today and involved with Iditarod because after my last year, as my first year, which was COVID year, I just loved the craziness of the Iditarod and the adventure of it, getting to meet all these people, volunteers, mushers, local people and it was very exciting.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was realizing last year when we were intense, because of COVID, how cold minus 11 was when you’re sleeping on a frozen river and you live in North Carolina.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is you never know what’s around the corner and what adventures lie ahead.
