What is your Why?.. Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?:
WELL, I STARTED WITH THE AIR FORCE BECAUSE I’M A PILOT AND THEY NEEDED SOMEONE WITH PILOT EXPERIENCE TO ACTUALLY WORK AS A LOAD COORDINATOR AND DO THE LOADS AND THE PEOPLE. I STARTED DOING IT AND I LOVED IT AND NOW I’M HOOKED.
Tell me about your most rewarding experience on Iditarod?:
COMING BACK FROM NOME TO UNAKALEET WITH DIANA MORONEY IN HER 185. AND WE FLEW THE TRAIL THE WHOLE WAY. DIANA HAS RUN THE RACE 10 TIMES. AND SHE HAD STORY AFTER STORY AFTER STORY OF WHAT HAPPENED HERE AND WHAT HAPPENED THERE. THINGS SHE’D EVEN FORGOTTEN ABOUT. AND IF I COULD HAVE RECORDED THAT …. IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE.
What do you know for sure?:
WELL, THAT I AM IN MCGRATH RIGHT NOW AND I’M ON THE IDITAROD AND I’M SURROUNDED BY WONDERFUL PEOPLE.
