Question 1: What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first became involved with the Iditarod when I learned about it in vet school and learned about sled dogs and kind of everything they do and wanted to learn more about it. So watched movies, started reading books, and became more excited about it. So I’m super excited to be here for the first time.

Question 2: What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here today and involved with Iditarod because I enjoy sled dogs and wanted to be a part of this community and this race to kind of get the word out there, kind of see what they do and help take care of these amazing athletes.

Question 3: Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences?

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences is the unknown of coming here. This is my first year, didn’t really know what to expect. Don’t know too much about the race or Alaska, so just wanted to jump in.

Question 4: What in life do you know for sure?

And what I know for sure in life is a home is not a home without a pet.
