What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first became involved with Iditarod in 2004. We came with this outdoor school to Iditarod to know, at Takotna, sorry. And we just kept coming and helped on the checkpoint, volunteering.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here today and involved with Iditarod because I’ve been doing it for 18 years. I liked it since we were here the first time. And made a lot of friends. And yeah, it’s just blessed, every year just helping out and see all these people coming out, back and forth every year. Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.  One of my most memorable Iditarod experience was 10 years back, with trail going to Iditarod and we normally make it from Takotna to Iditarod. We go make the trail before the trail breakers get there, like a week or two weeks before. It’s normally just a three day trip going out and make the trail. But we ended up running our gas when you got to Iditarod. And we spent a week out there before we got any help because of this snowstorm. But it was a lot of fun. But yeah, so that was my best experience, I think

What in life do you know for sure? What in life do I know for sure is, this year that trail’s really bumpy.
