What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved with Iditarod because I was new to Alaska and I wanted to learn from the best, and this is where it is. All the mushers are just so experienced and wise, you can’t help but learn something.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here today and involved with Iditarod because a dear friend is running, Eric Kelly and I get to run the whip sled out of town for 12 miles.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences:

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was working the Ruby Checkpoint on the Yukon River, the stories from the locals and just being there, being up for 36 hours and taking a four-hour nap and then starting over again.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is that dogs give you more love than you can ever give them. So give them all you got.
