What is your Why?.. Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?:
IT BRINGS ALL THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER. EVERYBODY’S NICE AND CHEERFUL AND SHOWING THEIR SUPPORT FOR THE DOGS AND THE MUSHERS. YOU KNOW, IT TAKES A SPECIAL PERSON TO DO THIS CRAZY RACE.
Tell me about your most rewarding experience on Iditarod?:
WATCHING MY BROTHER-IN-LAW COMING THROUGH – CLARENCE TUORAK, JUNY, AND THEN ANOTHER GUY NAMED CAL, WHO WAS HIS APPRENTICE, AND HE RAN IT. HE FINISHED. BUT REALLY COOL TODAY WAS SEEING PETE KAISER COME THROUGH, OR WAS THAT YESTERDAY? YEAH, WE LIKE THE LOCAL BOYS, BUSH BOYS.
What do you know for sure?:
THERE’S ALWAYS PAIN-IN-THE-ASS MOMENTS, BUT IF YOU CAN GET THROUGH ALL THAT, YOU KNOW, YOU HAVE THE UPS AND DOWNS, JUST LIKE IN A MARRIAGE. THERE’S GOING TO BE NICE THINGS, TOO. I MEAN, I’M LOOKING AT YOU. YOU GOT TO KNOW IT LAST YEAR WITH YOUR SON. SO WE GO UP AND WE GO DOWN. EMOTIONALLY WE JUST GOT TO PICK OURSELVES UP AND GET BACK ON THAT LADDER.
