What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first became involved with Iditarod when I started studying about it and doing research and learning about the history, and I fell in love with it, so I decided to volunteer this year.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

My why is I love the history of the Iditarod and the selflessness and the bravery that went into the very first one of the serum run, and I just love the history of the Iditarod and the history of Alaska and I wanted to be a part of it.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences:

Well, today, waking up at 4:30 was pretty memorable and freezing my butt off because it’s my first time here, but seeing the dogs and meeting the mushers, they’re all amazing and it’s been a really cool experience.

What in life do you know for sure?

I know for sure that the purpose of life is to have joy and have fun and experience that with other people.
