What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first became involved with Iditarod in 1998.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here today involved with the Iditarod because I’m on my way to Kaltag. They’re going to fly me into Unalakleet first and then back to Kaltag to serve as a trail veterinarian.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was in Nome, Alaska. I was there with three really good friends that talked me into joining the Iditarod. I was a rookie and we slept in a tent like froze to death, but loved it.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is that it constantly changes and every moment of it’s precious and we don’t have long enough in this world.
