What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?:

I first became involved with the Iditarod through following Blair Braverman on Twitter and just found some interest there. And then I started to learn all about the sport and became a member of the Ugly Dogs community, which has blessed me in many, many ways.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here because I wanted to do something for me and do something I love. And turning 50, trying new things, and making all my dreams come true.

Tell me about your most memorable Iditarod experiences?:

My most memorable Iditarod experience so far, and I’ve only been here a day, but today just walking through and seeing people I’ve only seen through photos or hearing stories about and getting to actually see them and being part of that is important to me.

What do you know for sure?:

I know for sure that you should always be kind and always speak your truth and to love yourself very much.
