What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved with the Iditarod because racing sled dogs and living with sled dogs was a lifestyle, and I was inspired by a lot of elders that had helped begin the iconic race, and I really looked up to them.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I am here involved with the Iditarod today because it is truly the last great race, and it carries on the spirit of dog mushing and the lifestyle of an Alaskan.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences:

One of my most memorable experiences in the Iditarod was my first year. It was a bad storm going over to Shageluk, and I got off the trail into chest deep snow, and I had to turn my whole team loose, and they all went and sat under a tree and waited for me to… And they all came back and hooked back up.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is that each day is a blessing, and you must live it to the fullest.
