What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved with Iditarod because Stu Nelson last year said that he was in desperate need of veterinarians who were licensed in Alaska because of the COVID outbreak, so I signed up to help out.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I am here today and involved with the Iditarod because I have always been around working dogs and I currently have working dogs. I think that watching these dogs do what they do is magnificent and I want to help them and their mushers get down the road.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was last year, I was at Finger Lake in an Arctic Oven [tent] and our propane went out and it was negative 30 out and when we woke up in the morning, everything in our tent was frozen, including our water and all the baby wipes.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is that it ends eventually, so you better utilize it while you got it.
