What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved with Iditarod when my grandpa was running. We were volunteering for it many years ago. And I’m just taking over for him.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I am here today and involved with Iditarod because I choose to volunteer and follow behind my grandfather’s footsteps.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was when I was able to try riding a sled with a dog team. One of the mushers had asked me if I wanted to take a ride in their sled when they had scratch here. And I can’t remember what year, but that was a fun year.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is subsistence is always around, subsistence.
