What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved with Iditarod in 2017 through our sponsorship, Northrim Bank, becoming a lead dog sponsor. I am the go-to person between the bank and Iditarod for our sponsorship.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here today and involved with Iditarod because we are having a sponsor lunch and so this is a great opportunity to come together a few months after the race to meet the other sponsors, but also to meet the winner, usually of the Iditarod, and be together in a more relaxed environment.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was the first time I went to Nome and got to see the community support that really brought the whole town together and what the Iditarod did by bringing the town together. Nome will always have a special place in my heart because that was a very exciting time to be in Nome.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is that it takes a village. I love that phrase for all different things. At the bank, we are a big team, a big village that works together, that goes towards the mushers and their dog teams as well as the community of Alaska as a whole.
