What is your Why?.. Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?:

I HAVE JUST MADE SO MANY WONDERFUL FRIENDS OVER THE LAST 20 YEARS THAT IT’S LIKE A GIRLS’ SORORITY PARTY EVERY YEAR. SO WE JUST COME AND HAVE FUN AND ENJOY OUR FRIENDSHIP AND OUR COMPANIONSHIP. AND IN THE MEANTIME, WE GET TO VOLUNTEER FOR THE IDITAROD AND HELP THE DOGS AND THE MUSHERS OUT.

Tell me about your most rewarding experience on Iditarod?:

WE ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE A MISSION GROUP THAT COMES YEAR AFTER YEAR FROM THE CHURCH, THE ALASKA MISSIONS. THEY HAVE TAKEN OVER SETTING UP THIS DOG LOT. AND I AM SO GRATEFUL EVERY YEAR THAT THEY SHOW UP AND THEY GET THE DOG LOT SET UP IN RECORD TIME AND WE JUST COULDN’T SURVIVE WITHOUT THEM, I DON’T THINK.

What do you know for sure?:

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I LIVE EACH DAY TO THE FULLEST. AND I CAN’T WORRY ABOUT THE PAST AND I’M NOT LOOKING TOO FAR IN THE FUTURE. WE JUST LIVE FOR TODAY.
