What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved with Iditarod in 2013. I’d moved to Alaska and I love dogs, so it was a natural thing to follow it and become a fan.

What is your Why?..Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?

I’m here today and involved with Iditarod because I am a trail volunteer, helping the teams as they come in, getting their times written down and helping them get to their spots and showing them where their stuff is.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences?

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was when in the middle of the night, I was the only checker, last night, and I helped a team get royally tangled.

What do you know for sure?:

What I know in life for sure is not a whole lot. I have three young kids back home and the more I’m trying to raise them, the more I realize that I don’t know what I’m doing. I’m kind of just figuring it out day by day.
