What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?:
I AM Involved with the IDITAROD because there was a need for an in house digital communicator. THEY hadn’t had one really in house before so I’m just kind of filling that need and I thought, you know, why not work for the, IDITAROD. You know THEY’RE a great organization and it’s very close to where I live in WASILLA, so it mAshed up well.
What is your Why?.. Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?:
TODAY I AM TAKING PHOTOS FOR THE, IDITAROD OFFICE SO I CAN SHARE ALL THE WONDERFUL THINGS THAT THE VOLUNTEERS DO BEFOREHAND OF THE RACE. AND I CAN SHARE THE PHOTOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND LET EVERYBODY KNOW HOW GREAT THE VOLUNTEERS ARE AND HOW HARD EVERYBODY WORKS FOR THE IDITAROD.
Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences?:
My most memorable IDITAROD experience would be when I worked at the Fairbanks daily news miner. We covered the, IDITAROD, every year. one year I don’t know why IT was particularly a special, we watched all the finishers come in and it, I don’t know if it was such a close race or what, but we were glued to the coverage, the livestream. For some reason in the office, our staff was just watching closely who’s coming in. who will be next. And for some reason that stick out for us, it must’ve been a close race.
What do you know for sure?:
I KNOW FOR SURE WORKING FOR THE IDITAROD IS GOING TO BE FUN. I KNOW THAT FOR SURE. AND I KNOW FOR SURE. EVERYBODY’S BEEN GREAT AND I KNOW FOR SURE THE VOLUNTEERS AND STAFF WORK REALLY HARD TO GET THIS EVENT GOING.
