What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first got involved with the Iditarod when I was nine years old through following a homeschool project. It was the first year the Insider was out, so my mom thought it’d be cool to follow it for a year and learn that kind of stuff. And I fell in love with everything about it.

What is your Why?..Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?

I’m here today because I love traveling with my best friends and seeing some beautiful countryside that very few people get to.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences?

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was actually this year, on top of Rainy Pass Summit. The wind was really whipping and it was … I really love those situations because I get to see my team shine. I had a three year-old leader up there that was just amazing going through everything, and just everything was natural to her. So, it was fun to see.
