What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

Involved with Iditarod when a friend of mine from church invited me to come last year and volunteer with Alaska Missions. It was different because it was COVID, and we were in Willow at the finish line. And it was a very different experience from here in Nome.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I am here today and involved with Iditarod because everybody told me I had to go to Nome.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was being at the finish line, working security, and having kids beg me to try to get booties from the mushers.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is that it’s short and you need to live experiences while you can, and that you need to love God and have a great relationship with Him.
