What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?
I got involved in the Iditarod pretty early on as a dog musher because the people I met were running the Iditarod. You help ‘em out at the start of the race and you wonder what is that like to run a thousand mile race. I was totally hooked by just watching it.
What is your Why?..Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences?
One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences, of the many that I’ve had, was maybe going over the top of a moose that I didn’t know was dead on the trail by Rainy Pass. Boy, I was about having a heart attack on that one. It was the moose that I think Dick Mackie shot and it had chased Warren or Vent all into the trees and everything else. But yeah, that was a pretty good one.
What do you know for sure?:
I know for sure in life is that dogs are really great and I really love dogs. I think that if you do what you love, you’re going to be successful at the very least, and you’re also going to be happy. So I encourage people to do what they love to do, which I’ve been very fortunate to do.
