What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first became I love dogs and I wanted to see the professionals at their best.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I am here today and involved with the Iditarod because I wanted to see those dogs in action. And because I wanted to experience interior Alaska off the highway system in the wintertime. And I’ve met a lot of really great people and great dogs too.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

My most memorable Iditarod experience was when the first dog team came in. This is my first time volunteering. The suspense before that first team came in was mounting for days. And then, as soon as we saw that headlight bobbing in the distance, it all kind of came together.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is nothing and that’s okay.
