What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved with, Iditarod as the oldest son of one of the mushers in the very first race. My dad ran the very first Iditarod and I just inherited it from there.

What is your Why?..Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?

I’m here today and involved with the Iditarod because I just continually love the sled dogs. And I love to see what they can do and allow them and facilitate them to perform in the way that they’re born and bred to do.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences?

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences would have to be the first time I won, in 2004, because I had been mushing for so long and dreaming and thinking about what that win would be like, and I had to almost pinch myself. Here I was mushing to the finish line in first place. That’s… I don’t think I’ll ever forget that.

What I know for sure in life is that we need to follow our dreams. We need to follow our passions and spend our time doing what we are good at and what we enjoy doing and never compromise.
