What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first became involved with the Iditarod when I was at a bar with my best friend, Jill Howell, and they were like, “Hey, do you want to come to Alaska with me and look at dogs?” And I was like, “Yeah, that sounds like a blast. I would love to take a vacation and do that.”

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here today involved with the Iditarod because, well, I’ve never been this far north before and it seems like a great opportunity to go on a fantastic adventure and really help out with something cool.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

Well, one of my most memorable Iditarod experiences so far was basically just getting all my stuff and getting loaded onto a plane and rushed off into the far off wilderness, and then unpacking and seeing everyone and seeing how everything worked and just diving right into the experience.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is that you just got to live it. You got to get out there and just have fun, do whatever you like, and just go for it.
