What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first became involved with the Iditarod by reading books about different mushers and watching videos and movies about the Iditarod.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here today and involved with the Iditarod because I’m a better participant than a spectator, and I’m excited to be a part of the whole experience.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

One of my most memorable Iditarod experience is getting my dog handlers license and being able to work with the dogs and run them and stop and run them in practice for the actual beginning.

What do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is, is that it’s short. And as Mary Oliver says, “What are you going to do with your one wild and precious life?” And being part of the Iditarod is part of that one wild and precious life.
