What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?:

I got involved with Iditarod this year, which may be my only year because of reading the book about the Great Serum run and it’s the 100th anniversary of that. That’s what started my interest. That’s why I’m here.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here today and involved with the Iditarod because it’s also allowing me the opportunity, in addition to participating in this amazing experience, to visit my sister who’s lived up here for many years, who I haven’t seen for 18 years. So I got to reattach with family again as well as learn more about the Iditarod, which is fascinating.

Tell me about your most memorable Iditarod experiences?:

One of my most memorable Iditarod experience this year so far and the race hasn’t started yet, is meeting Larry, who’s the team leader in the call center. Just a wealth of information and it’s been a real joy getting to know him.

What do you know for sure?:

What I know in life for sure is that nothing is certain, but I do know that Heaven is my home.
