Soldier was an only child, a single puppy, and he has a little bit of that only child syndrome. He knows he’s special. He’s my main leader. He’ll do anything. He’ll go to the end of the world and back for me. He goes everywhere with me; he goes to work with me. He wants to go on errands. And he’s been a leader since he was a young puppy. He thinks he should be in charge. He thinks he knows best, so he is very confident.

He was the only one, but he was born on Memorial Day, hence the name Soldier.

He goes back to… Actually most of my dogs go back to a lot of the older interior village lines, so Gareth Wright, George Attla. He’s actually a seventh generation descendant of Susan Butcher’s Granite. As well as some Jeff King and Rick and Brenda Mackey.
